1. Softwarearchitect & consultant Software architect & consultant

   MY-LEX feb 2019 – hedenpresent

   Als softwarearchitect ben ik mede verantwoordelijk voor de productbacklog van alle MY-LEX-producten. In nauwe samenwerking met productmanagement en collega-architecten ontwerp en realiseer ik oplossingen die optimaal aansluiten bij de behoeften van onze klanten. Mijn belangrijkste focus ligt op de connectors voor de MY-LEX Overheid- en MY-LEX Pro-suite, inclusief het platform dat de data verwerkt die in de zoekmachine wordt geïndexeerd, en de transitie van dit platform naar een SaaS-ready omgeving. Daarbij begeleid ik de volledige software lifecycle: van idee en ontwerp, via ontwikkeling en testen, tot uitrol, beheer en doorontwikkeling in productie.

   Ik combineer technische diepgang met grondige kennis van de Archiefwet, de Woo en de AVG, en zorg ervoor dat architectuur en implementaties voldoen aan de eisen rond archivering, openbaarheid en privacy — een essentieel aspect in het domein waarin MY-LEX opereert.

   Als consultant ben ik actief in de complete applicatielevenscyclus. Ik werk als (pre-)sales consultant voor zowel de MY-LEX Pro-suite als de bijbehorende connectors, en implementeer de MY-LEX Pro-suite bij klanten. Zo houd ik feeling met de praktijk, zie ik waar het product goed past, waar het verbeterd kan worden en welke functionaliteit nog ontbreekt — input die ik weer gebruik richting architectuur en productontwikkeling.

   As a software architect I share responsibility for the product backlog across all MY-LEX products. Working closely with product management and fellow architects, I design and deliver solutions that align with our customers' needs. My main focus is the connectors for the MY-LEX Overheid and MY-LEX Pro suite, including the platform that processes the data being indexed by the search engine, and the transition of this platform towards a SaaS-ready environment. I guide the full software lifecycle — from idea and design, through development and testing, to rollout, operations and continuous improvement in production.

   I combine technical depth with thorough knowledge of the Dutch Archive Act, the Open Government Act (Woo) and the GDPR, ensuring architecture and implementations meet the requirements around archiving, openness and privacy — an essential aspect of the domain in which MY-LEX operates.

   As a consultant I work across the full application lifecycle. I act as a (pre-)sales consultant for both the MY-LEX Pro suite and its connectors, and I implement the MY-LEX Pro suite at customer sites. This keeps me close to real-world practice — I see where the product fits, where it can be improved and which features are still missing, and I feed that back into architecture and product development.

2. Product Owner

   MY-LEX aug 2017 – jan 2019

   Verantwoordelijk voor de connector-backlog en de ontwikkeling van MY-LEX Overheid. Ik werk als technisch consultant in (pre-)salestrajecten, voornamelijk voor de MY-LEX Overheid-connectors. Samen met collega's ontwikkel ik nieuwe connectors en ondersteun ik hen bij de ontwikkeling en implementatie. Daarnaast houd ik mij bezig met potentiële nieuwe functionaliteiten voor MY-LEX Overheid en onderzoek ik welke nieuwe technieken we kunnen inzetten, steeds met oog voor het voortdurend veranderende IT-landschap.

   Responsible for the connector backlog and the development of MY-LEX Overheid. I worked as a technical consultant in (pre-)sales trajectories, mainly for the MY-LEX Overheid connectors. Together with colleagues I built new connectors and supported them in development and implementation. On top of that I explored potential new features for MY-LEX Overheid and investigated new technologies we could adopt — always with an eye on the continuously changing IT landscape.

3. Senior technisch consultant Senior technical consultant

   MY-LEX okt 2016 – jul 2017

   Als technisch consultant was ik betrokken bij (pre-)salestrajecten voor nieuwe en bestaande MY-LEX Overheid-connectors. Ik werkte aan de (technische) analyse van nieuwe connectors, ontwikkelde samen met collega's connectors en ondersteunde andere collega's die de ontwikkeling uitvoerden. Waar nodig nam ik in projecten de rol van projectmanager of trainer op mij, om ervoor te zorgen dat de implementatie verliep volgens de afgesproken specificaties en verwachtingen.

   As a technical consultant I was involved in (pre-)sales trajectories for new and existing MY-LEX Overheid connectors. I worked on the (technical) analysis of new connectors, developed connectors together with colleagues and supported other colleagues doing the development. Where needed I took on the role of project manager or trainer within a project, to make sure the implementation ran according to the agreed specifications and expectations.

4. Lead Developer

   Datacon jan 2013 – sep 2016

   Werkzaam aan de productontwikkeling van Telbase en de implementatie van Telbase bij klanten. Bestaande Telbase-implementaties uitgebreid en de performance verbeterd om groeiende klantbases te kunnen ondersteunen. Rating- en billingfunctionaliteit toegevoegd aan de Galaxy-implementatie. Een extra klantbasis geïntegreerd in de bestaande Galaxy-implementatie, waarmee een Belgische propositie als Transatel-MVNO mogelijk werd. Daarnaast Robin Mobile geïmplementeerd als postpaidpropositie op het KPN-prepaidplatform.

   Verder betrokken bij salesondersteuning voor nieuwe implementaties, business-analyses voor nieuwe en bestaande Telbase-implementaties, implementaties voor nieuwe Telbase-klanten en ondersteuning en wijzigingen voor bestaande klanten. Vanuit persoonlijke interesse begonnen met het leren van Mule ESB, met als doel mogelijke synergie te realiseren door Mule ESB met Telbase te combineren.

   Working on Telbase product development and Telbase customer implementations. Extended existing Telbase implementations and improved performance to support growing customer bases. Added rating and billing functionality to the Galaxy implementation. Integrated an additional customer base into the existing Galaxy implementation, enabling a Belgian proposition as a Transatel MVNO. Also implemented Robin Mobile as a postpaid proposition on the KPN prepaid platform.

   Also involved in sales support for new implementations, business analysis for new and existing Telbase implementations, implementations for new Telbase customers, and support and change requests for existing customers. Out of personal interest started learning Mule ESB, aiming to realise synergy by combining Mule ESB with Telbase.

5. Senior Software Engineer

   Datacon jan 2010 – dec 2012

   Werkzaam aan de productontwikkeling van Telbase en de implementatie van Telbase bij klanten. Continu bezig met het verbeteren van de application lifecycle management-oplossing voor Telbase. Telbase geïmplementeerd voor Galaxy, een Nederlandse MVNO op het KPN Mobile-netwerk. Telbase geïmplementeerd voor Euphony in Nederland met een quad-playpropositie, met koppelingen naar KPN Mobile, KPN Fixed, DSL, TV, e-mail en diverse andere derde partijen. Dit was de eerste Telbase-implementatie die zowel voor b2b- als b2c-facturatie werd gebruikt, gecombineerd met uitgebreide MLM-functionaliteit. Daarnaast het oude Delta/Zeelandnet VoIP-factureringssysteem vervangen dat werd gebruikt voor het opstellen van klantfacturen en wholesale-reconciliatie.

   Working on Telbase product development and Telbase customer implementations. Continuously improving the application lifecycle management solution for Telbase. Implemented Telbase for Galaxy, a Dutch MVNO on the KPN Mobile network. Implemented Telbase for Euphony in the Netherlands with a quad-play proposition, integrated with KPN Mobile, KPN Fixed, DSL, TV, email and several other third parties. This was the first Telbase implementation used for both b2b and b2c billing, combined with extensive MLM functionality. Also replaced the old Delta/Zeelandnet VoIP billing system, used to produce customer invoices and wholesale reconciliation.

   Werkzaam aan de productontwikkeling van Telbase en de implementatie van Telbase bij klanten. TFS geïntroduceerd binnen Datacon en de application lifecycle management-oplossing voor Telbase continu verder verbeterd. Prepaidfunctionaliteit toegevoegd aan Telbase en Telbase geïmplementeerd voor Aerea (Worldmax), het eerste commerciële WiMAX-netwerk — zowel voor pre- als postpaid.

   Working on Telbase product development and Telbase customer implementations. Introduced TFS within Datacon and continuously improved the application lifecycle management solution for Telbase. Added prepaid functionality to Telbase and implemented Telbase for Aerea (Worldmax), the first commercial WiMAX network — both prepaid and postpaid.

   Werkzaam aan de productontwikkeling van Telbase en de implementatie van Telbase bij klanten. Telbase geïmplementeerd voor My Dad's (Dexcom), de eerste postpaidimplementatie van Telbase en tegelijkertijd de eerste MVNO op het Vodafone-netwerk in Nederland.

   Working on Telbase product development and Telbase customer implementations. Implemented Telbase for My Dad's (Dexcom), the first postpaid implementation of Telbase and at the same time the first MVNO on the Vodafone network in the Netherlands.

   Cavendish Kinetics jan 2005 – dec 2006

   Onderzocht en ontwikkeld op welke wijze kennis gegenereerd kan worden in het PROMENADE-systeem ter ondersteuning van de ontwikkeling van silicium-gebaseerde MEMS. Over dit onderwerp diverse publicaties geschreven en een octrooiaanvraag ingediend.

   Researched and developed mechanisms to generate knowledge within the PROMENADE system in support of the development of silicon-based MEMS. Published several papers on this subject and filed a patent application.
